| I suppose I should squeeze in at least one post for the month of August.
Youth group (now called "Velocity") started up again last week. Even with all the crazy construction madness surrounding the church, people still showed up. That's cool. Ange won't be able to come on Wednesday nights this year, with teaching, starting her Masters, meetings, and everything else that she's got going on right now. Her girls miss her, but we'll still be around on Sundays. We've also got someone else leading the band, which takes a huge load off of my shoulders. I had alot of fun doing that for awhile, but between getting the band ready and setting up the sound system every week, it was just too much to cram into a few hours every week. The first two weeks went very smoothly, and that was my first goal. Now, we have time to try some cooler stuff.
Work's been ok. Still learning stuff, still meeting people.
Angela's laptop pooped out again recently. The last few times, I was able to recover about everything. This time, the hard drive just decided it had had enough, and that suddenly put us back to sometime in November. As a result of all the trauma and frustration, I've developed an almost-paranoid distrust of hard drives. Great.
On the bright side, I finally finished my degree. Yay! It only took three majors, 5 years, and we won't go into how many dollars, but it's all over now. I have no idea what I'll do with it, but at least it's off my mind.
My keyboard seems to be having some sort of dissociative identity issues lately. My [f] key thinks that it's also an [enter] key, and my [g] key sometimes thinks it's also an [up arrow]. I can't tell you how long it took me to type this. If you IM me before this gets fixed, and I keep stopping mid-sentence and then immediately sending messages about "f this" and "f that", I'm actually not upset. Don't panic.
Jeff Fact #56: There are 2 "f"'s in my first name. |
